Meet Lola

Lola's Story

Lola came into my life as a sad, uncertain little dog who needed time to feel safe. When I first brought her home, she was quiet and depressed, and it took a couple of weeks before she began to understand that I was her friend. Little by little, her personality came out. After a few days I gave her a bath, and a few days later I clipped her coat. With good food, patience, and lots of love, she became the happy, affectionate companion she is today.

Lola is now part of nearly everything I do. She stays close while I work, keeps me company, and has become the inspiration for Lola’s Corner and Lola Explores the Garden. Her story is at the heart of the books, shirts, gifts, and other little creations you’ll find here.

As Lola settled in, her sweet personality began to shine. She became my constant companion — nearby while I worked, created, cared for plants, and went about daily life. Her expressions, curiosity, and gentle nature eventually inspired me to create Lola Explores the Garden, a children’s book based on the kind of little adventures she might have while exploring the world around her.

Lola’s Corner grew from that same idea. It’s a place for her books, coloring activities, shirts, and gifts inspired by the little dog who brought so much companionship and joy into my life.

Today, Lola is happy, loved, and very much part of Pam’s Rooted In Green. And yes — she knows she’s famous.
